Wireless Alarms, are used when the premises is already built and has not been wired for an Alarm System. These systems are easily installed with-out any mess or disruption around the home or office. Installation is normally only a matter of hours.
Wired Alarms, These systems require wires to be run from the control panel to each device, for example the sensors, keypad, bells. Unlike a pre-wired alarm it is very hard to conceal the cables in a wall and therefore will be visible all around the home if the alarm is to be wired post house construction.
Pre-wired Alarms, if your house was built within the last 15 years there is a high possibility that the house has been pre-wired for an alarm. The difference between wired alarms and pre-wired alarms is that in pre-wired all your cables were installed during construction, thus all cables are run in your floor and wall cavity's.
Alarm Upgrade, if you have a faulty system and you are in need of an upgrade, all cables in a wired/pre-wired system can be used again (upon inspection).
